Meth_ArrestOn Sunday, May 10th about 10:45 the Starke County Sheriff’s Department received information of a male subject with a rifle in the woods.  The caller also said there was a strong chemical order emitting from the area.

Officers located a burnt methamphetamine lab in the woods along with a bag of items used to manufacture meth.

The male subject, 36 year old Jason Kuhn was located in the area of Binkley Drive.  He was detained and officers located a rifle hidden in the truck bed.  Kuhn is preliminary being charged with dealing in methamphetamine and possession of precursors.

The ISP Clandestine team was called to the scene to dismantle the lab and meth trash.
