Monday evening Plymouth Park Superintendent Mike Hite introduced Morgan Koops as the new Recreation Director. She replaces Scott Michel who resigned in August to teach at the Weidner School of Inquire in Plymouth High School.
Morgan is no stranger to the park, she’s been a lifeguard and head lifeguard at the public pool throughout her high school and college career. She’s worked closely with the previous Recreation Director, Scott Michel, on events and activities in the park for the last few years. Most recently Morgan was the administrative assistant at the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce before accepting her new position with the City of Plymouth.
Just last month Morgan married her husband Phil, a teacher and coach at Plymouth High School, and the couple reside in Plymouth.
