DONALDSON, IN – The Lady Chargers of the Ancilla College women’s basketball team defeated Bethel College JV on the road Tuesday night, 87-67.

 

The Chargers came out strong for their second consecutive game against the Pilots, holding the lead at halftime, 47-22. Alexsis Miller, from Elkhart, led the scoring for the Chargers with 15 points for the night followed by Khadijah Moore’s 13, and freshmen Jasmine Love and Ashley Quezaire’s 11 each. Sophomore, Michelle Detwiler, pulled down 14 rebounds and Bianca Maxwell and Kristen Duff each contributed 11.

 

“We had a really strong second quarter where we executed the game plan,” said Coach Tom Robbins. “During that period, we moved the lead out to 30 points which carried us the rest of the way. We still need to improve our defensive execution throughout the entirety of the game.”

 

Ancilla will play home this Friday against Milwaukee Area Technical College. Tip-Off is set for 6:00p.m.
