DSC05022 (2)PLYMOUTH, IN – The Ancilla Lady Chargers Volleyball Team held their awards banquet Thursday, February 19, at Ponderosa in Plymouth, IN.

Seven Lady Chargers received awards, recognizing their hard work both on the court and in the class room. Maddie Korra and Sophia Smith received the Most Improved Player Award, while Mackenzie White took the Defensive (Dig) award. Suzanne Grimm and Mariah Kinney were recipients of the Highest Grade Point Average award, in addition Grimm received the Offensive (Assist) Award, and Blue and Gold Award and Kinney was the receiver of the Offensive (Hitting) Award. Amber Redinger won the Defensive (Blocking) Award and the Mental Attitude Award went to Samantha Albers.

Head Coach Lana Singleton praised the girls for their hard work, effort, and determination both on the court and in the classroom. She remarked, “Our sophomores, Amber Redinger, Suzanne Grimm, Mariah Kinney, and Mackenzie White have led every statistical category the last two years for the Lady Chargers, they are leaving big shoes to fill. Redinger takes over the career leader category in blocks at Charger Arena at the LifePlex. These girls are great volleyball players, great students, and most importantly really wonderful young ladies; I will deeply miss what they have brought to this program.”
