JACKSON, MI – The Ancilla women’s basketball lost to Jackson College 69-46 in Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Western Conference action.

The Chargers (8-12, 0-7 MCCAA) produced multiple double-doubles for the first time this season. Khadijah Moore finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Taylor Kuhnle dropped in 10 points and pulled away 13 rebounds. Michelle Detwiler added 10 rebounds to the mix, while La’Fabian Coleman scored seven points and led the team with five assists.

“We really struggled shooting the basketball,” began Ancilla coach Tom Robbins. “It may have been our lowest percentage of the season. In terms of our effort and execution, we had some good things going, but the shooting really hurt our overall effort.”

Ancilla hosts Lansing Community College (3-18, 1-7 MCCAA) at the Charger Arena in the LifePlex at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31. Ancilla lost 75-70 in Lansing to begin the MCCAA West season. Both teams have been on a seven game skid since that meeting. Ancilla is touting Saturday’s game as their “Blue Out Game” this season.
