DONALDSON, IN – The Lady Chargers of Ancilla College won back to back home games over the weekend defeating Trine University JV, 112-77 and Harper College, 93-62. This brings the team’s record to 10-3.

The Chargers dominated in a game against the Thunder of Trine University, leading by 30 points at halftime and winning by 35. Several players had an outstanding performance including Khadijah Moore and Bianca Maxwell who pulled double-doubles for the night with 26 and 20 points respectively, and 11 and 10 rebounds. Daitriona Bonds and Alexsis Miller also added to the Chargers score, contributing 12 points each and Jasmine Love added 11 assists.

“Our team shot the ball extremely well tonight,” remarked head coach Tom Robbins. “Our offense was clicking as well as it has all season. We had two players record a double-double with points and rebounds and Jasmine Love was one point away from a double-double with points and assists. Love, in particular, had a really good game and has played extremely well since our Hope College game and is a big reason for our success the last few weeks.”

On Saturday, the Chargers were back in action against Harper College where they opened the first half with a 17 point lead and continued their winning streak with a 31 point victory. Bianca Maxwell had her second double-double for the weekend with 23 points and 18 rebounds. Khadijah Moore led all scoring with 26 points and Jasmine Love added 15 points and seven assists.

“We battled a lot of adversity early in the game but we stuck with the process and overcame. We were shorthanded much of the first half at the post position with Kristen Duff being out with an ankle injury, Bianca Maxwell taking a spill in the second quarter, and Hannah Stolte getting four fouls,” commented Robbins. “We also had a number of players with two fouls at the guard position, but we were able to get back on track in the third quarter and had a really big second half to put the game away.”
