Plymouth traveled to Elkhart Memorial on Monday to open up their conference season. Going on a 3 game winning streak, the bats dried up for Plymouth as they got 5 hits on the day but managed just 1 run. Elkhart’s story was the opposite. They had 13 hits and combined to score 15 runs on the day. The game ended in the 5th inning due to run rule. Jillian Smith scored the lone run for the Pilgrims as she led off the 4th inning with a double and Bailey Brown followed with an RBI double.
The Pilgrims continue with conference play on Wednesday at Concord. Game time is scheduled for 5:00pm.
