Plymouth notched their first conference win on Monday against Goshen. They scored 3 runs in the bottom of the first inning which proved to be the difference in 4-2 run game. Hayley Brown earned the win from the mound giving up just 2 hits and striking out 4 on the day. Offensively for Plymouth, Mimi Southwell was 2-2 with 3 RBI’s, and Bre Martin was 2-3 with a double and 1 run scored as the lead off batter. Jillian Smith also extended her hitting streak to 8 consecutive games with at least 1 hit. 

Plymouth travels to Wawasee on Wednesday for a 5:00pm game. On Friday they will be hosting their 2nd Annual Strike Out Cancer game against Northwood. The game will be a pink out and anyone wearing pink is invited to be in a group picture at the beginning of the contest. The Pilgrims look forward to honoring those affected by cancer, hoping this serves as a reminder that no one fights alone.
The Plymouth JV Softball team beat Goshen in extra innings 17-16 tonight. Sophomore Rachel Hilty led the Lady Pilgrims in offense, going 3 for 4 at the plate, freshman Jay Brown was 2 for 4 with a double, and freshman Audrey Himes was 2 for 4 with the walk off single in the bottom of the eighth. Josie Koontz pitched the win in the circle for Plymouth.

The Plymouth JV Softball will play Wednesday, April 29 at Wawasee at 5pm.
