stabbingSaturday evening about midnight the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was contacted about a male subject who was bleeding profusely in the area of Main Street in LaPaz.

Officers O’Neal, Rans and Wozniak responded to the area and located fresh blood but were unable to locate a victim or anybody in need of assistance.

Sunday afternoon about 4 the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by a male subject that claimed to have been stabbed in LaPaz on Saturday morning.

An investigation led to the arrest of 35 year old Joe T. Lynn Jr. of LaPaz.  He was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for battery resulting in serious bodily injury a level 5 felony.  His cash bond was set at $1,505 cash.
