Jim Condon_1Letter from Plymouth High School Principal Jim Condon to parents concerning the “sexting” issue at the high school:
Parents,

We do our best to be proactive in our communication with you concerning the events that occur at PHS. We celebrate the fantastic accomplishments of our students. Simultaneously, we would be in error if we were to tell you that mistakes do not occur.  The past few days, we have encountered some disruptions at school stemming from poor use of cell phones on behalf of some students.  When used wisely, digital tools, social media, and cell phones, are great resources. Unfortunately, when poor decisions are made about the use of these very same tools and resources, it can be quite harmful.  My intentions here are not to draw further attention to individual students or groups of students. Instead, I encourage everyone to use incidents like this as teachable moments.  Consider ways you can become more aware of your child’s use of social media, digital tools, and cell phones and have frequent conversations with your child about them. Thank you for your time and best wishes for a great weekend.
Mr. Condon
PHS Principal
