Marshall County Commissioner Kevin Overmyer said street lights for the round-a-bout on North Michigan Road have been installed. Six highway commercial lights have been installed around the round-a-bout and one has been placed on the new 7th Road project.
Overmyer said they are just waiting on NIPSCO to get the boxes connected. He anticipates the lights being turned on tonight or Friday evening.
There has been some concern with the darkness in the round-a-bout area and Overmyer confirmed that lights were a part of the project but the company hired to install them had other projects to complete prior to getting on the county’s project.
