Eighth Grade

The 8th grade Red Storm defeated Edgewood last night 43-36.  The team was led by Cole Filson with 16 points and Clay Hilliard with 14.  Cam Dennie, Evan Zeigler, and Larry Dragani all turned in fantastic defensive efforts and helped lead a strong team defensive effort.  The win marks the end of the regular season and gives the boys a perfect home record for their two years at Lincoln.  Their overall record for the season stands at 16-3.  The boys will open up their conference tournament play next Thursday at Indian Springs. 

 

Seventh Grade

On Monday night, the Lincoln 7th graders defeated the visiting Stars from Indian Springs by a score of 43-25.  The Lincoln defense was strong all night long leading to 14 total steals for the game.  Trey Galloway lead the team in scoring with 20 points, while Kendall Himes chipped in 7 points and 6 rebounds.  Adam Hunter, Joe Styers, and Brady Hissong all had 2 steals for the defense.  

On Tuesday night, Lincoln lost a tough game to the visitors from Warsaw Edgewood, 34-29.  After Edgewood scored 24 points in the first half, Lincoln put the clamps down defensively and held the visitors to only 10 more points the rest of the game.  Trey Galloway scored 12 points and corralled 6 rebounds while battling foul trouble all night.  Joe Styers and Tolman Mills both chipped in 8 points and 2 rebounds.
Lincoln’s 7th grade team returns to action on Thursday the 29th of January when they travel to Indiana Springs for the first round of the conference tournament.
