The Marshall County Election Board opened a meeting Monday afternoon to certify the absentee ballots for Tuesday’s municipal elections. Election board members are County Clerk, Deb VanDeMark, Sean Surrisi representing the Republicans and Rick Huff representing the Democrats.
Absentee poll workers, Arlene McCan and May Rennells assisted with the certification which included counting the mailed in votes, travel board votes and those who walked into the clerk’s office and voted on the machine.
There were a total of 179 votes cast for both the election in Plymouth and the one in Bremen. There were 12 mailed votes, 70 who walked in and voted in the clerk’s office and 97 who voted through the travel board.
For Tuesday’s municipal elections there are 5811 registered voters in Plymouth and 2906 registered voters in Bremen.
