Rigoberto ReyesThe Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges in Marshall Superior Court 1 against 21 year old Rigoberto Calix Reyes in regards to the 14 year old girl who ran-away from Plymouth on Friday, March 6th.

Reyes has been charged with one count of sexual misconduct with a minor as a level 4 felony.  The 21 year old is suspected of having sexual relations with the 14 year old.  He is also charged with one count of forgery as a level 6 felony.  The probable cause affidavit states that Detective Leo Mangus located two birth certificates at a residence on North Plum Street where Reyes had been staying.  One birth certificate had a 1996 date and the other a 1993.

The final charge filed is contributing to the delinquency of a minor as a class A misdemeanor.  Being that Rigoberto Calix Reyes is as least 18 years of age, he did assist the female juvenile in running away.

The Probable Cause Affidavit states that Detective Mangus received a report from the School Resource Officer on Friday indicating that the 14 year old may have been sexually active with a high school student.  When the detective met with her she had a hickey on her neck and said it was from a 13 year old boy friend.     The juvenile female ran-away that afternoon with Reyes.

On Monday Detective Mangus was notified that the juvenile female had runaway again.  At that time it was believed she was on her way to Illinois to meet with her biological parents.

In a facebook conversation with her brother, the 14 year old advised that she was pregnant with Reyes’ baby and he wanted to be involved in the baby’s life.

On Wednesday Rigoberto Calix Reyes and the 14 year old female were located in Houston, Texas with the help of relatives.  Both were held by authorities.  Reyes was held on an emergency hold until Plymouth Police could file a PC with the prosecutor and get formal charges.  The female flew back to Plymouth on Thursday with her brother.

The Probable Cause Affidavit did show that on October 5, 2014 another 14 year old female was planning to runaway with Reyes.  She had written a letter to her grandmother indicating she was in love with him. The two would meet at the Plymouth Library.  The statement said they had kissed and he asked her to go to his residence and have sex with him.  The other 14 year old denied any sexual contact and the relationship ended in December.

Bail has been set at $100,000 cash for Rigoberto Calix Reyes.
