County Police Officer Les McFarland investigated a “road rage” incident on Friday.

At approximately 8:20 October 23, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department obtained a 911-emergency call from a motorist advising of a road rage incident in the area of US 31 and 14C Road.   A driver was ramming another vehicle causing damage to the vehicle.  Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area.

 

MugShot_John RennerOfficer McFarland spoke with 44year old Anthony J. Jamora of Elkhart who advised that there had been a road rage incident involving him and another driver, later identified as 63 year old John Renner of Mishawaka.

 

Mr. Jamora stated that while driving southbound on US 31, the second vehicle pulled up beside him and rammed his vehicle and continued southbound on US 31.  A witness to the accident obtained a license number to the vehicle that left the scene.  The driver was later identified and later returned to the scene.

 

John Renner was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail for Aggressive Driving, a class A misdemeanor along with Reckless Driving.
