Sheriff's Star BadgeMarshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin released the March activity report for his department.

Operating While Intoxicated tops the list of the Top Ten Offenses for bookings into the Marshall County Jail last month.  It was immediately followed by Driving While Suspended and Failure to Appear.  Fourth on the list was Marijuana with Operator Never Licensed rounding out the top five.  Looking at the remaining list you find Probation Violations number six followed by Theft at number seven and Public Intoxication number eight.  Rounding out the Top Ten list was Domestic Battery and Violations of Home Detention.

There were a total of 153 inmates booked into the Marshall County Jail with 105 being males and 37 were females that were booked in by the various police agencies in the county.  The remaining 11 were directly booked into the jail through the court system.

County Police Officers investigated 52 accident reports in March with 44 being property damage and 8 involving personal injury.  Officers also took 72 case reports last month and issued 169 citations.
