FOP 130Marshall County F.O.P. 130 has recently been obtaining donations of smoke detectors and other home fire equipment from local retailers to distribute to local fire departments.  This past December a resident of Culver tragically lost her life in a house fire.  During the investigation it was learned that a working smoke detector could have made a difference in that situation.  Upon officers from our lodge speaking with representatives from the local fire department, it was learned that there was an obvious need for obtaining these types of items.

Several local retailers were kind enough to help our lodge in this endeavor.  The following is a list of local retailers who donated items to this worthy cause: Smith’s Farm Store of Plymouth, Argos Do It Best Hardware, First Alert.

F.O.P. Lodge 130 would like to thank the named local retailers, First Alert, and others who requested to be kept anonymous for their donations.  The items collected were distributed to the Culver Town Board at their meeting that was held on Tuesday January 13th.  It is the hope of F.O.P. Lodge 130 that these items could help one family in need from our community from having a tragedy, like the one this past December in Culver.  The Marshall County F.O.P.130 is committed to not only improving the lives of the police officers in our community, but all of the citizens of Marshall County.  It is the hope of our lodge that the community continues to support us in achieving this.
