sheriff_starMarshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin released the April activity report for his department.

Operating While Intoxicated tops the list of the Top Ten Offenses for bookings into the Marshall County Jail last month.  It was immediately followed by Failure to Appear and Marijuana.  Fourth on the list was Driving while Suspended with Operator Never Licensed rounding out the top five.  Looking at the remaining list you find Dealing Cocaine/Methamphetamine number six followed by Theft at number seven and Domestic Battery number eight.  Rounding out the Top Ten list was Public Intoxication and Court Ordered Hearing.

There were a total of 135 inmates booked into the Marshall County Jail with 92 being males and 29 were females that were booked in by the various police agencies in the county.  The remaining 14 were directly booked into the jail through the court system.

County Police Officers investigated 51 accident reports in April with 44 being property damage and 78 involving personal injury.  Officers also took 78 case reports last month and issued 162 citations.
