Sheriff's Star BadgeMarshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin released the February Jail Report and the Top Ten Offenses for bookings into the Jail.

Starting and number 10 and working your way to the top you find violation of home detention at number 10, visiting a common nuisance number 9, probation violations was 8th on the list, court hearings number 7 and dealing in cocaine or meth is 6th on the list.  Number 5 was operator never licensed, marijuana was 4th, driving while suspended 3rd, operating while intoxicated number 2 and failure to appear was the number one offense for being booked into the Marshall County Jail.

There were a total of 139 inmates booked into the jail last month. 28 females, 95 males were booked in by the various police agencies in the county and 16 inmates were court ordered.

Marshall County police officers investigated 72 accidents, 62 were property damage and 10 involved personal injuries.  There were 62 case reports taken and 76 citations issued.
