Arminta-Marlene-HackworthWARSAW — A Tippecanoe woman has been arrested and booked for assisting another individual deliver methamphetamine after a July 15 incident.

Arminta Marlene Hackworth, 37, 3309 18B Road, Tippecanoe, who court documents also show an address of 4095 N. 700E, Leesburg, has been preliminarily charged with two counts of aiding, inducing or causing dealing in methamphetamine. One charge is a level 4 felony, while the other is a level 6 felony.

Court documents state on July 15, arrangements were made to purchase 4.5 grams of methamphetamine from Michael Greenfield for $400. Greenfield was to be picked up by the buyer in Warsaw and taken to Leesburg to obtain the drug.

When the purchase was arranged Greenfield, along with Hackworth, exited Hackworth’s vehicle and entered the purchaser’s vehicle. The buyer was given instructions to drive to a gas station in Leesburg. During the drive, Greenfield asked Hackworth to contact the dealer and inform him they were on the way, which she did. After the deal was complete the buyer brought Greenfield and Hackworth back to Warsaw, where they entered Hackworth’s vehicle and left.

Police tested the white powdery substance that was purchased, which tested positive for methamphetamine. It weighed 2.4 grams.

The charges were filed Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Hackworth is being held on $15,000 surety and $250 cash bond.
