Plymouth_Logo_2014As a continuation of a new tradition, the Mayor’s Youth Council of Plymouth will hold their third annual Earth Day / Arbor Day Celebration in River Park Square. The scheduled date for this clean-up event is April 25th, 2015 from 9am – 1pm. All Plymouth residents are invited to volunteer.  There are only a few requirements:  It is recommended that all volunteers wear work gloves, and that they dress appropriately for the weather. As a small token of appreciation, doughnuts will be provided to those who are willing to work to make Plymouth more earth-friendly!

Along with the annual clean-up there will be several tree plantings as well as a short ceremony proclaiming Plymouth as a Tree City USA.

Last year’s celebration brought out about 100 people to assist us in the clean-up.  In 2015 the MYC would love to double that amount.  Church and youth groups are all invited to participate as well as service groups like Lions, Kiwanis, Rotary and Optimists.

Any questions please call the mayor’s office at 936-6717.
