flood advisoryThe National Weather Service Hazardous Weather Outlook issued at 6:42 am this morning, lists Marshall County as being at a marginal risk of seeing severe weather for today. Damaging winds may be the main threat, but once again locally heavy rain fall is possible which will add to area flooding issues.
The ground is extremely saturated with ditches, creeks and retention ponds are at or near capacity. Several county roads remain closed due to high water.
If you live in an area that is prone to flooding or have had flooding issues in the past, consider taking action now to protect yourself, your family and your property.
Sand and Sandbags are available at NO COST at 9515 King Road in Plymouth (just north of the Marshall County Highway Garage). You will need to bring you own shovel in order to fill the bags.
If a road has been closed due to high water, do not remove the barricades or attempt to drive around them. The water may be deeper than it looks or the road bed may have been washed out. REMEMBER: Turn around don’t drown!
Continue to monitor local television and radio stations for additional updates.
