Miller's_WooleverLiza Woolever is well known in the Plymouth area for her musical talent and teaching skills.  Many students have learned the love of music in Woolever’s country home as she teaches various folk instruments such as recorder, mountain dulcimer and fiddle.  Several years ago when gas prices began to rise, Woolever found a way to make it more economical for her students to reach her.

At that time Woolever was teaching a six week recorder class to residents at Miller’s Assisted Living in Plymouth.  As her class came to an end she made an agreement with Miller’s to continue to hold music classes for private students who found it easier to drive to Plymouth rather than to Woolever’s country home.  It turned out to be a win/win situation for all involved.

Woolever holds private music lessons on Wednesdays at Miller’s, which is located at 625 Oakhill Ave. in Plymouth.  The students contact Woolever to make class arrangements and they pay her privately.  The Miller’s residents enjoy the interaction with the students between the scheduled class times and also take part in the musical action when lessons are finished.  Woolever often takes time after class to “jam” with residents in the main lobby.  She usually plays the fiddle while residents join her on the facility piano and percussion instruments that she provides.  Anyone interested in taking private lessons may contact Woolever by calling her at 574-936-7410.
