Students in the Plymouth Community School Corporation went back to the classroom on Wednesday as they began the new “Balanced Calendar” schedule.   As students entered their respective schools there were many new teachers in the buildings.

Last week the corporation conducted a weeklong induction program for new teachers.

The new staff members at Webster Elementary School are:  Linsey Brewer who will teach 4th grade, Susan Szucs a new second grade teacher and Jorden Brummett who will teach first grade.

Washington Discovery Academy has five new teachers for the 2015-2016 school year.   Elizabeth Hartman is a second grade teacher and graduate of PHS who graduated from Bethel College this spring with a minor in Spanish.

Angelina Lazovich is originally from a small suburb just outside of Chicago and is the new first grade teacher at WDA. She graduated from Saint Mary’s College this past May where she majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. 

Kim Riddle has been an instructional assistant at WDA for the past two years and serves as the secretary of the WDA PTO. She is a new 4th grade teacher this year. Prior to working at WDA, she worked as a physical therapist assistant with J.E.S.S.E. and LaFree Physical Therapy.

Bryan Kratzer will teach 4th grade teacher at Washington Discovery Academy.  He just finished student teaching last fall and filled a long-term substitute position for the North Miami Community Schools near Peru. He has been working with kids in some capacity for the past 20 years and is very excited about teaching our students at WDA.

Mary Dolph is a second grade teacher at Washington Discovery Academy. She is homegrown right here in Plymouth and is a proud graduate of Plymouth High School! Dolph graduated from IUSB and for the past two years she has worked as a substitute teacher.

Jefferson Elementary School new teachers who were on board last week for the Plymouth Community School Corporation New Teacher Induction were:
Kim Saunders who will teach Kindergarten;
Elizabeth Fisher who will be the Title I Pre-K Teacher
Jaclyn Stiffler a Mild Interventionist Teacher and
Erin Stidham  a new Second Grade Teacher.

New teachers at Menominee Elementary include:

Bianka Teeters who is teaching 3rd Grade.
Alana Teasdale one of the new 4th Grade teachers and
Bobbi Hunt who is the other new 4th Grade Teacher.
Megan Roseberry is the new 1st Grade teacher at Menominee.
