MugSHot_HolcombOn Sunday evening September 06th just before 8, Officer Les McFarland with the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department was eastbound on US 30 between Pioneer Drive and Queen Road when he observed a  westbound motorcycle that appeared to be traveling at a very high rate of speed, in the passing lane.  Officer McFarland activated the Radar unit and clocked the motorcycle traveling 91 mph in a 50 mph zone.

Officer McFarland immediately turned around and attempted to catch up to and stop the motorcycle, with his emergency lights and siren activated. The motorcycle failed to stop and continued west bound to Rose Road where it turned northbound and then west on Plymouth-LaPorte Trail, then to 7th Road and westbound where a traffic stop was initiated and the driver was taken into custody.

The driver, 40 year old Christopher B. Holcomb from Hudson Falls, New York was transported to the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth for a chemical test.  Holcomb was then arrested for Reckless Driving, Resisting Law Enforcement by means of a Vehicle and Operating While Intoxicated.
