road_workJason Peters, Supervisor of Marshall County Highways announced Wednesday plans to refurbish North Michigan Road from the Plymouth city limits north to 3rd Road.

Employees from the County Highway will chip and seal Michigan Road, fog seal it and paint new lines on the road next week.  Peters said, “We plan to work on the road Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, September 9th, 10th and 11th.”  He continued, “This is a big project and we ask drivers to have patience while in the work zone because traffic will be slowed and driving will be on the shoulders part of the time.”

The County Highway Department plans to wait until after the morning commute to start work allowing the heavier traffic flow to get through before they start work.  Plans are to begin just after 8 a.m. each morning.
