local News_2Early Sunday morning, December 27, about 3:00 A.M. an officer from the Marshall County Police Department witnessed a vehicle traveling west on U.S. 30 at a very high rate of speed.

Catching up to the vehicle he observed the vehicle driving erratically and attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of King Road and U.S. 30.  The vehicle then began driving at a high rate of speed fleeing from the officer.  The vehicle drove through the intersection of Lincoln Highway and King Road where it crossed over the railroad tracks.  The vehicle then suddenly stopped on King Road south of 10th Road.

The subject who was approximately 5`8″ with a medium build wearing a black hooded sweatshirt fled from the vehicle and ran behind several residences in this area.

The suspect in this incident was not located.

During the initial investigation it was learned that the vehicle involved in this incident had been stolen from a residence in Bremen, apparently a short time before it was observed by the officer.
