CentennialPark_enteranceThe Plymouth Park Board unanimously approved the new contract with the Marshall County Blueberry Festival during their meeting last night.  Board member Jim Causey noted that a financial statement is due by March 31st of each year and said, “They have been a little bit lax on this requirement.”

The park board also approved the request of Troop 257 Boy Scout Luke Houin to place a flag pole in River Park Square as his Eagle Scout Project.   He anticipates having the project complete this spring including a light for the flag.

Mike Delp from Michiana Contracting updated park board members on the new lighting project at Nixon Field.  He explained a mix-up on two of the precast concrete stubs for the poles.   There are two different size stubs and two of them were swapped in location. There is a difference in diameter and Michiana Contracting is waiting to hear back from Musco on whether they can use a sleeve on one pole and then only have to put in one new foundation and stub.  Delp also assured the park board that there would be no additional cost for their mistake.
