CentennialPark_enteranceTuesday evening the Plymouth Park Board approved a service contract with Jane Fuentes.  Fuentes has been providing exercise classes for FREE to the public for several years and this is the annual agreement.

Fuentes said classes will begin on Monday, September 14th and run on Mondays and Wednesdays with a walking class at 6 and a zumba class at 7 each evening.

For her services the City shall pay Ms. Fuentes a onetime payment of $250 that will help pay for her license certification.

The Park Board also approved the request of the Journey Church at 101 South Michigan Street, to hold their 1-year anniversary celebration on October 4th in the parking lot of River Park Square.  They plan to set up tables for a meal in the parking lot and have a bounce house or two in the grassy area.  The celebration begins after the church service at 10.

Run Baby Baby Run, the annual 5K run/walk and 10K run was granted permission to use the Fryman Shelter and Greenway Trail for their fundraiser on Saturday, November 14th.

Steve Holm made the annual request which is a fundraiser for the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.   The Holms have had twins born 10 weeks premature.  The boys, Fitzgerald and Kavanaugh spent almost 3 month in the NICU and the Holms appreciate everything all the doctors, nurses and staff id for their family years ago and want other families to be able to experience the care and love they were fortunate enough to receive.

The walk/run will start near the Fryman Shelter at 9 and use the park and trail.  WTCA will have more information on the event when it gets closer.
