CentennialPark_enteranceThe Plymouth Park Board will meet Monday evening February 2nd at 5 p.m. in the Conservation Club House.

Agenda for the meeting includes opening quotes for air conditioning at the Webster Recreation Center, approval of the contract for the DJ and photography for the Daddy Daughter Dance and donations for the Boys and Girls Club and the M.C. Neighborhood Center.

Curtis Smith will seek approval of a disc golf course for his Eagle Scout Project and Brent Johnson wants to discuss fireworks in Centennial Park.

Cory Humes, Executive Director of Marshall County Tourism will seek approval from the Park Board for the 3rd Annual Marshall County Blazin’ BBQ and Bluegrass Kansas City Barbeque competition for September 18th and 19th in Centennial Park.

This year she is seeking permission to host a Beer Tasting event on Friday evening of the two day event.  Last year Humes sought approval for the beer tasting and was turned down unanimously.

The second annual event last year was very successful bringing 33 barbeque competitors and about a thousand visitors.

The Plymouth Park Board meeting is open to the public.
