road_workMichael P. Maggart from Niblock Excavating and Asphalt announced the beginning of the second phase of city streets projects.

Milling and paving activities will begin on Monday, October 26th weather permitting.   Streets involved in the second round of projects include:

Chuck Glaub Drive from Becknell to Randolph,

Jim Nelson from the City Limits to Oak Hill Road,

VanVactor Drive west of Pioneer Drive, and

Beerenbrook from Washington to Jefferson Streets.

 

Residents in the area are advised that there will be no on-street parking allowed during the milling and paving activities.

 

Weather permitting, these streets will be paved and open to traffic without pavement markings temporarily by , November 6.

 

Maggart said, “Please observe the postings for no parking on these streets during the project and be safe and alert when travelling the work areas.  If possible avoid the areas altogether until construction is completed.”
