The girls golf team defeated both Winamac and Mishawaka Marian at Plymouth Country Club on Thursday evening. Tonight was the team’s opening 9 hole match of the season. Attached full results.
Junior Katie Johnson sparkled tonight with a career best and medalist honors 42. Katie’s round featured only 15 putts and no greens in regulation meaning she was efficient and effective with her short game saving pars and bogeys. Most impressive was her ability to score nothing worse than a +1 on any of her holes.
Tonight’s Varsity only match moves our season record to 2-0. A 5th place finish and 2nd place finish Tuesday in 18 hole events has made for a successful and long week for our girls. Next on the docket for both Varsity and JV is a trip to Kendallville on Saturday to play in the East Noble Invitational. Saturday’s venue Noble Hawk is a look at our Regional course.
