AllieDennie, USTA2015_1Last week, Alicia Dennie, a Plymouth High School Junior, traveled to Beaumont, Texas to compete in the 57th USTA baton twirling championships.  Hundreds of twirlers from all over the country were in Beaumont to compete against the best in their sport.

AllieDennie, USTA2015_pairsAlli did very well finishing in the top five of most of her events.  Her best placement this year was a 1st in Jr. Elite Artistic Twirl Pairs with her pairs partner Brianna Bolinger, a senior at Norwell High School.  The girls are both coached by Kyle Keiser from Kalmazoo, Michigan.

Brianna and Alli will be traveling to Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada on August 3rd to compete as part of Team USA in the International Cup Competition.  They will be joined by Adeline Bebo from Carmel, Indiana as the only three athletes from Indiana on Team USA this year.

AllieDennie, USTA2015_3Indiana girlsAdeline will be the twirling for Baylor University in the fall.   The girls will be competing against twirlers from all over the world while in Canada.
