PHS_Law_Class_courtroom2015Plymouth High School students enrolled in the Business and Personal Law class visited the Marshall County courthouse on Wednesday for a daylong field trip.

 

Gene Skirvin, the PHS Business teacher says for the past decade plus he has set up the courthouse field trip for this class so his students can get a firsthand look and understanding of the law in action.

 

While at the courthouse students spent the morning in Marshall Superior Court I with Judge Robert O. Bowen’s.  Students listened intensely as sentencing hearings were being conducted.

After lunch the students spent the remainder of their day in Marshall Superior Court II where they witnessed an ongoing trial in front of the Honorable Judge Dean A. Colvin.
