PHS CLosed-generatorThe generator installation project at Plymouth High School is estimated at 95% complete and due to the project running ahead of schedule the building has opened back up ahead of schedule!

Dave Schoof, Director of Operations, said the athletic practice schedule could resume starting Tuesday, however he said summer school would remain at Lincoln Junior High School and so will the Free Summer Food Program.

PHS Generator_1Installation on the replacement generator started over the last weekend in June and since that time, PHS administrators, secretaries, and others who were scheduled to work over the summer had to seek alternate plans.

The expected completion date for the project was originally Friday, July 17, however Monday it was announced the 5% of work left on the installation could be done with the building occupied.

Cummins Crosspoint, LLC from Fort Wayne and Michiana Contracting from Plymouth are the two companies who were contracted to install the Plymouth High School generator.

Schoof credits great teamwork and dedication by the two companies for the reason they are ahead of schedule on the project and therefore the building opening back up ahead of schedule.
