Dancers started at noon with hundreds of PHS students staying on their feet to raise money for all the kids who physically cannot. With a goal of $25,000 the final tally of just over $31,000 had the group staying on their feet for a different reason.

As a mini-marathon under Ball State University, the money raised will help fund the Magic Castle Cart program at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis as well as their new Palliative Care Center which assists families and patients who won’t be coming home.

In three years, students of PHS, the staff, and the community has donated a little over $86,000 to Riley Hospital for Children.

Dance Marathon is a multi-hour, multi-faceted event that blends dancing, games, crafts, food, and fun into one philanthropic experience. Students are on their feet the entire duration of the marathon as well, as they stand for the kids at Riley Hospital for Children.
