On Saturday, March 14, five Plymouth High School students qualified for the National Speech and Debate Tournament in Dallas, TX this June. This tournament is not a part of the state tournament series like the Sectional results that qualify students to the IHSFA State Finals.
Students who qualified are: Sophomore Garrett Garver – 1st place United States Extemp, Senior Kylee Rippy – 2nd place International Extemp, Senior Kalee Lowry – 2nd place Original Oratory, Senior Kalee Lowry and Senior Christie Gorka – 3rd place Duo and Senior Clayton Lenig – 3rd place Humorous Interpretation
Students are only allowed to compete at the National Tournament in one event. Kalee will be representing PHS with her partner in Duo.

Congressional Debate is the one event remaining to have its national qualification tournament. That will take place on April 18, 2015 here in Plymouth.
