WHEEL-TAX-TIREThe City of Plymouth threw their support behind the proposed LOHUT tax during their meeting Monday.

Mayor Senter and Councilman Mike Delp attended the special joint Council and Commissioner’s meeting last week to learn more about local funding for street and road repairs.

Although the County Council hasn’t yet made a decision to implement a tax that would include a wheel tax and excise surtax as a way to fund additional road improvements, Mayor Senter said the additional funding would help the City of Plymouth and the other towns in the county.

Delp said it appears downstate is forcing counties to use the option they were given to bring addition funding to help with road and street repairs, improvements and building.
