IMG_2157 (1)The Plymouth JV brought home the hardware for the second consecutive year from the Laville 9th & 10th Invitational at Swan Lake’s Silver Course on Saturday.  The Pilgrims lead the field with a team score of 348, five shots better than last year’s victory.

Sophomore Micah Calhoun and Freshman John Schenk paced the field, both carded an 83.  Micah got off to a solid start with four consecutive pars, nine pars overall, and one birdie.  John’s ball striking was very solid hitting 50% of his greens in regulation with seven pars and nothing worse than a bogey.
Rounding out the lineup, sophomores Hudson Yoder 90 (7th overall), Grant Clady 92 (8th overall), and Trevor Danielson 94.  Other team members playing as markers, Tyler Newton 112, Derek Mattix 115, and Pietro Bologna 117.
Today’s event was the opening match of the season for the JV.  The JV is back in action next Saturday at the Rochester Invitational.  The Varsity opens their season, next Saturday, at the Goshen Invitational.
