Friday night Plymouth Police Officer Shanna Gilmer stopped a vehicle at Michigan and Garro Streets for a traffic infraction. The driver, 26 year old Kasey Stoneburner of Knoxville was arrested for operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license.
During the traffic stop a passenger in the vehicle, 31 year old Gonzalo Ortiz III from Plymouth became uncooperative and resisted police. He fled from the scene on foot and was apprehended in the 100 block of South Center Street.
Ortiz was booked into the Marshall County Jail for resisting law enforcement causing bodily injury, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
