Jack GreenleeJack B. Greenlee, the former Mayor of Plymouth from 1992 to 2000 passed away Monday morning about 8:30 in the loving care of his family.  He had been in declining health for some time.

Jack was a family man, grocer and political servant serving the City of Plymouth as Mayor for 8 years and as a City Council member for 4 years along with a stint on the County Council.

Jack B. Greenlee was 85 and the oldest living employee of G & G Supermarket.  He started in the grocery business while he was in high school as a bag boy and eventually worked his way up to General Manager.

Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter sent his condolences to the Greenlee family Monday evening saying, “We lost a leader today of our community that had one of the most colorful common-sense sense of humor I’ve ever met.  He was a great man and a great part of this community.”  He continued, “Everyone knew Jack from many different aspects of his life.”

Visitation is planned for Saturday, March14th from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home.    Services will be Sunday, March 15th at 2 p.m. in the Trinity United Methodist Church. Calling will continue at the church at 1 p.m. until time of services.
