Trick-or-treat2011The Plymouth Chamber of Commerce will host their annual Downtown Trick or Treat on Saturday, October 31st from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The event begins a 1 p.m. with a costume parade on Michigan Street.

In an effort to provide the safest Trick or Treat possible the chamber is asking downtown merchants and other business owners and organizations that would like to participate to fill out a simple registration form by October 23rd.

Connie Holzwart, Executive Director of the Chamber said, “This year, we are asking retailers to fill out this registration form so we can provide a safer venue for our community’s children.  This will allow us to know exactly who is handing out candy.”

All businesses, downtown or not, chamber members or not will be permitted to distribute candy downtown ONLY if they have pre-registered. Each block will have a Plymouth Chamber representative overseeing the event and making sure all participants have registered.

Downtown Trick or Treat is a tradition and very much appreciated and enjoyed.   Anyone with questions and or comments can call the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce at 936-2323.

Door to door Trick-or-Treating for the City of Plymouth will also be on October 31st from 5 until 7 p.m.  Those residents wishing to receive visits from little ghosts and goblins should turn their porch lights on.
