ParkDepartmentThis week members of the Plymouth Park Board welcomed newest member, Robert Listenberger.  Listenberger replaces Sally Greenlee who resigned due to medical issues.

The next order of business was election of officers for the new year.  Dave Morrow will remain at President and Mike Kershner will continue at Vice-President.  Laura Mann was elected Secretary. Other members include, Listenberger, Jim Causey and Bob Beiter.

Park Superintendent Mike Hite opened quotes for a new lawn-mover. Hite said he wants to buy a John Deere due to the fact that the snow blower and broom are for a John Deere.

Although Hite requested bids from three companies, only two submitted. Greenmark submitted a bid of $22,000 while Troxel Equipment of Huntington quoted $23,295.

Hite said both bids were within his budget.  The Plymouth Park Board motioned to allow Hite to compare the two quotes and move forward with the one which meets the specs and is the lowest bid.

The park superintendent was also given permission seek quotes for repairs or replacements to the air conditioning system at the Webster Rec. Center.  He said the original units, which were placed in 1972 or 73 are still on the roof.  Two of the units are dead and one is only working at three quarters.  He said, “It’s time for an upgrade.”
