The Plymouth Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals is scheduled to meet Tuesday, February 3rd beginning at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.

The Plan Commission will consider changes to the zoning ordinance pertaining to landscaping standards for parking lots.  The other agenda item is an amendment to the Plymouth zoning map overlay districts.

The Board of Zoning Appeals has three items.  Teachers Credit Union on Plymouth Goshen Trail will seek a variance of development standard for new signage.

Read Fields LTD on Plymouth Goshen Trail and Insite are seeking a special use to place a 164 foot tall monopole communications tower at 12091 Plymouth Goshen Trail.

The final BZA agenda items it a variance of development standard to have more than two signs and to reduce the front setback at 309 East Jefferson Street.  The request is for the lighted Mooney’s Ice Cream sign.

Owner Jon Webster confirmed that he failed to get the required building permit to place the new sign.

Plymouth Building Commissioner Keith Hammonds said the sign sits too close to the right-of-way and with the signs already on the multi-business property the ice cream sign is in violation.

The BZA meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
