arrestsAt 7:18 P.M. on Friday, January 2nd Plymouth Police Officer Shanna Gilmer  arrested 23 year old Joshua J. Bender of Elkhart for driving while suspended with a prior charge of the same offense in the 1400 block  of North Michigan Street. Bender was transported and lodged at the Marshall County Jail and held on a $3,005 bond.

Later that night at 8:09 P.M. Officer Jeremy Enyart was dispatched to 223 North Walnut Street in reference to an intoxicated male that was becoming violent with a female at the residence. Officer Enyart had two previous encounters with 32 year old Joshua L. McCarty in Plymouth earlier that night and advised him to stay inside a friend’s home for the evening. When officers arrived McCarty ran out the rear door and into a neighboring home. He was located a short time after with the cooperation of the subject living at the residence of 209 North Walnut Street and taken into custody. McCarty was transported and lodged at the Marshall County Jail where he was held on charges of public intoxication, intimidation, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct charges.  His cash bond was set at $3,005..
