PrintTransitioning from elementary to intermediate school can cause anxiety for some students. The administration and teaching staff at Riverside Intermediate School understand adjusting to a new environment can seem like a scary or big place for some children who will soon be making the transition from 4th grade to 5th grade this coming August.
In effort to ease the transition, this week a team of administrators from Riverside Intermediate School are visiting all four of the Plymouth Community School Corporation elementary schools. Principal Jeni Hirschy along with other Riverside administrators will be on hand to introduce themselves and talk with the 4th grade students about 5th grade at Riverside in the fall.

Two-weeks later, during the week of April 12th, all 4th grade students will take an hour-long field trip to Riverside Intermediate School for a tour of the school.
On Monday, April 13th at 6:30 p.m. Riverside Intermediate School will host an information meeting about the transition for 4th grade elementary school parents.

Transition efforts have been in place for 9 years.
