The Plymouth Softball team earned its first win of the season on Thursday night in a 7-1 showing against John Glenn. Kristen McNeal broke up the tie ball game in the 2nd inning with a solo home run over the left field fence. In the 3rd inning offense exploded for the Pilgrims as they worked through 8 batters and scored 5 runs. Plymouth had 11 hits on the day compared to John Glenn who managed just 3. Bre Martin, Bailey Hatfield, Mimi Southwell and Alexis McVicker all had 2 hits on the day. Martin added a Sac. Bunt and Southwell knocked in 3 RBI’s. Hayley Brown got the win from the mound striking out 6 in the complete game victory. The Pilgrims travel to Tippy Valley Friday for another non-conference game.
