Riverside_SchoolToWatch_TyreePlymouth Community School Corporation has received may inquires about Superintendent Dan Tyree’s recovery.  On July 15 the corporation posted on its Facebook page that Mr. Tyree was cleared from an Indianapolis hospital to return home to recover from kidney transplant surgery.

WTCA has just learned that on Sunday July 19 Mr. Tyree was readmitted back at Indiana University Health University Hospital in Indianapolis where he had his kidney transplant surgery on June 24. He remains in the hospital currently and the Plymouth Community School Corporations said they will continue to release periodic updates Tyree’s recovery.

Mr. Tyree is in good spirits and said today via phone the IU doctors are providing him with very good care, and they are thorough in their research as they are trying to figure out a permanent solution to counteract the nausea symptoms he continues to have after his surgery.

He feels he has made a lot of progress with his kidney transplant recovery thus far, in fact he said his surgery incision has healed completely.

Mr. Tyree was excited to reveal he completed more than an hour of rather intense physical therapy in the hospital’s rehabilitation unit today and he got to visit with his donor who returned to the hospital today for her one-month post surgery check up.

He wants the community to know he and his family truly appreciates the well wishes that they continue to receive and the continued prayers from near and far!
