Police-sing2014 was another busy year for the Plymouth Police Department. Monday evening Chief Dave Bacon presented members of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety with his December and year end report.

Calls for information always top the monthly list of activity.  For the year the department handled a total of 9,227 call for information.

City officers handled 2,513 complaints last year, conducted a total of 2,918 traffic stops and issued 1,827 citations.  Plymouth Police responded to 1,977 9-1-1 calls, conducted a total of 1,883 residential checks and completed 1,368 case reports.

Plymouth officers were dispatched to 519 alarms and 405 animal complaints, they conducted 360 vehicle checks, assisted other agencies 356 times last year and used K9 Jax 234 times.

With only nine months of operation the code enforcement handled by the Plymouth Police Department handled 187 issues.

Officers with the Plymouth Police Department completed 471 accident reports, made 515 arrests, signed charges on 428 adults and 87 charges on juveniles.
