CulverSignThe Lake Maxinkuckee Association will be trying something a little different to help out the Lake Patrol this weekend.

The Association will sponsor their first pontoon boat “Home Tour” on Lake Max on July 25 from 4 p.m to 7 p.m. The cost is $45 per person with all proceeds going to benefit the Lake Patrol on Lake Maxinkuckee. The tour will visit four of the fabulous homes on Lake Max and includes a party at the Marina on conclusion.

“We do something every year to benefit the Lake Patrol,” said Jane Grund of the Lake Association. “We’ve done golf outings, hog roasts, but this is a whole different animal. (Lake Assoc. Member) Dan Nicols suggested the idea. He’s came from Wawasee and they’ve done this over there very successfully.”

With the number of outstanding homes on Lake Maxinkuckee the decision process of who to include was a little easier than might be expected.

“We simply chose people who said they would help out,” said Grund. “We really didn’t know what to expect but judging from the calls I’ve gotten it seems like we’ll have quite a crowd.”

Pontoons will leave on a rotating basis once full and return to the Marina at the end of the tour for food and fun. For information or reservations call Jane Grund at 574-298-1690 or email lakedir@culcom.net
